LOVE art! Whenever I am seeking inspiration, feeling happy, low and/or have appreciative company in town, you will find me at art shows and museums. I also have quite the trigger finger, so I tend to take many photos of the ones that capture me and their exhibit cards. I decided to share some of my favorite artwork I have seen in KC over the last few years to share with you.
Surrounded by creativity, color and art everyday has taught me to really love art that makes me think, stretches my imagination and is frankly, a little more extreme and different. My home is filled with crazy, weird pieces and I love every one of them.
Who doesn’t appreciate the work, the patterns. Her feet are stained, why? No footprints. So Mona Lisa. So Hemingway. Hide and seek. Admiration for the patience of the work. Beautiful.:
One of my absolute favorite pieces in the city. Nelson-Atkins. The depth, the mood. Sensual. Thoughtful. Light in the night. The color! Exquisite:
A cat…I see another creature crouching, lurking, hiding, thinking, resting, plotting, uneasy, curious:
The creative texture and playful shapes that surround it intrigue me. Simply, it is fun. It makes me smile. Connecting, silly, balance.:

Black and white is a weakness and a pairing I am simply wild about. Contemporary is a challenge to make great, so when it is, up on a pedestal it goes. Fun. Solid. Dashing.:
