How Tran + Thomas Design Studio Helps with Your Redesign Project

During these past couple of months of being at home, have you rethought your interiors?  Maybe your needs have changed; perhaps you or your partner are now working from home and you need a designated office space.  Or you realize that your family has outgrown the way you use your home and your interiors need to grow with them.  Or perhaps you just simply want to update and give your rooms a facelift?

With so many design shows and online retailers, it can be overwhelming to know where to begin.  Jill Tran and Carmen Thomas combine their 40+ years of experience with their carefully honed process to design a space that elevates your style, saves you from costly mistakes, and gives you peace of mind.

Step 1:  The Consultation

First, you will meet with Carmen and Jill to get to know one another.  They will walk you through their design process, and answer all of your questions.  Afraid that working with an interior designer will cost too much?  No need to worry!  Jill and Carmen will help you establish a budget.  With so many vendors that they work with, there is an amazing design for every budget!

Step 2:  The Programming

Now that Jill and Carmen have a sense of your budget and needs, they can hone in on your personal design aesthetic.  At this time, they will take photographs and measure your spaces, as well as any existing pieces you would like to include in your redesign.  They will do a color match of your existing walls, trim, cabinetry and flooring, as well as discuss color options.

Step 3: The Design

This is when our fearless designers take your dreams and turn them into your reality!  They will layout the ideal plan for your space in AutoCAD, research the perfect furniture pieces, design your window treatments, select fabrics that will enhance your style, and see to all the details that will create a unique and cohesive design.

Step 4:  The Design Presentation and Ordering

At the Design Presentation meeting, you will see your custom design boards, complete with furniture images, furniture floor plans, fabric and finish samples, as well as tile, flooring or wallcovering samples that may be in your design.  Jill and Carmen will walk you through the design, answer questions and provide pricing information.  To be sure you are getting the best design possible, the designers will go back and make changes.  At your next presentation meeting, you will see your final design.  We will start scheduling contractors for measurements and meetings.  Once we have your final approval and down payment, we can begin to order.

Step 5:  The Installation

By far the best and craziest day of the process!  While you are out for the day, hopefully enjoying some relaxing time at a day spa or shopping with a friend, our team of designers, movers and installers get your home ready for the big reveal.  Jill and Carmen attend to the smallest of details, from the hidden lamp cords, to the artwork hung on the walls, every piece is placed exactly as intended down to the last inch.  All you need to do is come home and enjoy your new space, designed exclusively by Tran + Thomas Design Studio.
